Artist's Comments

My submission for the Exotika II contest.

I decided to take a break from my music and take a stab at some new art. This time around I took the simple approach, and focused a lot more on the quality of the piece.

I have now included 3 different color variations, so you may choose which to use.

Enjoy Everyone :)

that's hum, different.
i like the details and the minimalism, but the yellow really doesnt suit me. i think it's not going well with the blue, but well, that's just what I think

The plain white light source just seemed to plain to me. I guess we'll see what happens. Glad ya like the rest though :)

troy...you got skills.
I think the yellow is cool.
Id try to saturate it a little more, and then bring a lil bit of green around the celestial eyegina(?)

Thats cold for sure.. the eye effect you made there is pretty good!

I want to know how God created this world. I am not intrested in this or that phenomenon. I want to know His thoughts, the rest are details.

The yellow does tend to draw your eye from the rest of the piece, but a trained eye can get past that =) I think the shades of yellow and blue compliment eachother well, though I would have used yellow through out it somehow. Otherwise it is very well balanced with awesome detail =)
Thanks Amanda, you're probably right about using more of the yellow throughout, but then it would be as cold of a place then ;)

Thats very true.. I took a second look at it and tried to see how I would have done it, but taking into consideration the theme of the piece and what you wanted to convey, I see that doing anything else would change the integrity of it. I hope it does well in the contest =)
